Pastor condemns immoral use of mobile phone

THE Communication Director of the Northern Ghana Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventist Church, Pastor Fred Agyei-Baah, has condemned the immoral use of mobile phone, especially when spending the whole day watching pornography to cause sexual excitement or arouse the interest of sexual intercourse. He was speaking in an exclusive interview after facilitating a training workshop organized by the union at Bantama Seventh-day Adventist church in Kumasi. Participants of the seminar were church elders, communication directors, pastors, religious liberty and public affairs leaders, and members of the Society of Adventists in Media. He educated them on their responsibilities in the church.

Pastor Agyei-Baah maintained that mobile phones were not meant for an inexcusable act like a platform where an unmarried person looks for love, but it could be served as a medium through which the word of God could be shared with other people. He cited Jesus Christ as an obvious example, who used the twelve (12) disciples as a medium to spread the Gospel to the larger group of people. He emphasized that the youth of today also could use mobile phones to win souls for Christ if they only value heaven.  He, therefore, advised them to use a mobile phone to glorify God than defying Him.
