New Edubiase District of SDA Evangelistic Campaign catches a soul

UNLIKE souls won during and after evangelistic campaigns by Seventh-day Adventists, at least more than two souls, the New Edubiase District of the church in the Ashanti South Conference got a different experience.

However, the district takes inspiration from Luke 15: 7  that says, “I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”

This new experience stems from the fact that a two-week evangelistic campaign by the district could fish out a SINGLE SOUL.

The born-again man, Kwame Asarfo, was baptised after the District Pastor, Malick Agyeman Duah led the campaign on the theme: “Follow Christ’s Steps”.

Pastor Agyeman Duah was inspired that when one soul repents, a host of Angels get overjoyed and asked church members not to be perturbed but encourage their new family member.

He sounded like somebody who had come across this Talmud quote: “Whoever preserves a single soul, it is as though she had preserved a whole world”.

The pastor  noted that most times, souls won after evangelism were backsliding and tasked Personal Ministries and Welfare Society to help bring a paradigm shift to support church development.

Pastor Agyeman Duah entreated the new soul to make bible reading prayers his hobbies.

He also asked that he got himself involved in almost all church activities and contribute his quota to church development.

He said Matthew 28:18-20 enjoined the church to teach all new souls what the Lord required of them, all these efforts geared  towards eternal life someday.
