Central Ghana Conference Inducts New Youth Director

THE Central Ghana Conference (CGC) of Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA) has held induction ceremony in honor of  its new youth ministries director.

The service which was held at Kwadaso Adventist church in Kumasi inducted Pastor Bernard Agyare, the new youth director of the conference to office. Pastor Agyare replaced former youth director of the conference, Pastor Kwabena Okyere Darko, who recently became Personal Ministries and Sabbath School director.

Pastor Agyare’s induction ceremony was on the heels of his election along with new officers and departmental directors in a recent session. Central Ghana Conference held that session at Ntonso in the Kwabre East District in the Ashanti Region.

In his sermon on the theme: “Where is the Lord God of Elijah”, Pastor Dr. Ugochuku Elems, West-Central Africa Division Youth Ministries Director preached on 1Kings 2:13-14. He pointed out that Elisha was focused and even in times of trouble he remembered his master’s instructions and prayed to God. Highlighting the importance of mentoring, he added that Elijah mentored Elisha.

The Youth Director of the Northern Ghana Union Mission (NGUM) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church with headquarters in Kumasi, Pastor Dan K. Owusu Ansah conducted the induction service.

In attendance to support their colleague were some youth directors from sister conferences in the Ashanti Region. They were Pastor Joseph  Kwabena Boadi, South Central Ghana Conference, Pastor John Owusu Mensah, Ashanti South Ghana Conference, and Pastor Kwabena Asiedu, Mid Central Ghana Conference.
