THREE Districts – Asawase, New Edubiase and Atimatim were part of the last districts under the Ashanti Central, Ashanti South and Mountain View Ghana Conferences to hold their 2017 Annual Camp Meeting.
At Agona, the District Pastor for Asawase, Daniel Baffour Okyere after speaking on the general theme for this year’s conference by the Northern Ghana Union Mission (NOGH), emphasised on the need for campers to remain faithful at all times.
He was assisted by the Aboabo Church Pastor, Jonathan Owusu; the New Tafo District Pastor, Festus Djikunu and Sepe Timpom District Pastor, Abraham Anane to baptise 19 souls to the glorification of the Lord.
At New Edubiase, the District Pastor, Malick Agyeman Duah quoted from 2 Tim. 3:16, Gen. 1:1, 2 Pet.1:21, Exd. 30:12,13 and John 5:39 to explain to the congregation his version of “Faithfulness in His Word” as the general theme.
He said it was better for man to only depend on God’s words instead of man.
He was supported by the Ministerial Secretary of Ashanti South Conference, Pastor Clifford Asomaning Marfo; the Ashanti South Conference Auditor, Elder Collins Kwaku Asare, Ahenema Kokobeng District Pastor, Andrews Fosu and Mrs Sarah Anokye, wife of Pastor Stephen Kofi Anokye, President of the Ashanti South Conference.
Youth Ministries leaders of the district also used part of the camp meeting hours to inaugurate their Master Guide Club.
According to Atimatim District Secretary, Harrison Oduro, both Atimatim and Pankrono Districts joined hands to hold the 2017 annual camp meeting at Atimatim.
Both Atimatim District Pastor, Albert Antwi-Boasiako and Pankrono District Pastor, Henry Afoakwa charged the church members never to relent in their efforts to preach the Three Angels Messages.
